This letter is intended to outline my general likes and dislikes, as well as provide potential prompts or inspiration for you. I've written why I like characters/ships/canons, as well as some potential prompts and ideas. This letter contains suggestions which you can choose to use or not use as you wish. If you'd prefer, you could just read my DNWs and write from there. Or, if you already have an idea you've been wanting to write for the pairing, and it doesn't go against my DNWs, then go for it!
If there’s only one thing you want to know about me, please let it be this: I will love any fic if it is driven by strong and carefully considered characterisations and relationships.
Feel free to mix/combine any of my likes or prompts below. It's also fine if you want to include any other canonical characters and relationships in your story - just as long as the pairing we matched on is the main focus of the fic.

This ship came at me out of nowhere and I’m so grateful for it. Everything about them together is so… soft? Like you wouldn’t think so at first because Luke is The Biggest Jedi and Din is The Most Badass Mandalorian but… they are so soft together. They have a lot to relate to one another in terms of found families. I think they can bond over the similarities in their pasts. I think they are both at heart quite empathetic people and it means that they come to understand each other very deeply. I love that!!!
Also for these two, I have a respect kink lol. Yes, when they first met Luke got to see Din’s face. But after that? Luke is so respectful of Din’s desire to keep his face hidden. He always turns away and gives Din privacy. Perhaps, when they decide to get married, there could be a Helmet RevealTM?

A small, intimate wedding between just the two of them in the middle of the forest, and then totally out of nowhere, there's a battle intruding on them?

I don't mind who gets mpregnant - I usually imagine Luke in my head because it's easy to explain away with The ForceTM, but I'm totally open to Din getting pregnant too. Would love to see how Grogu would act with Din pregnant (or Luke).
Request 2: Saturday Night Live RPF
Michael Che/Colin Jost
Every time I think I’m done with these two, I watch a Weekend Update segment and I’m falling down the hole of obsession once again. Colin and Che have been friends for a LONG TIME now. They have been through a lot together and spent a LOT of time together. They went through a rocky start to their Weekend Update segment and developed it into one of the best things about SNL. I have no doubt that their friendship has changed and strengthened over time and their bond is now incredibly strong.
Please don’t feel limited to a current-day fic. If you’d like to write from the past - earlier SNL seasons, or way way back, when Colin first met Che on the comedy circuit - please do, I’d love to read it.
One thing that really interests me is - I feel like the first impression we get of the two of them is that Colin is the more collected/composed one and Che is a bit of a mess. But as far as I can gather from WU and interviews, it’s actually more the opposite. Che is the one who is a mostly organised and functioning adult and Colin is just… here, and he’s trying his best. (REFERENCE: Colin is the one who doesn’t wash his clothes a lot; Colin is the one who, while going to get a new phone [WITH CHE], left his current phone in a taxi, then got it back but left Che’s phone in the taxi instead. DORK.) I would love an exploration of this!
I love reading about Colin and Che and their lives working at SNL. The work week is incredibly hectic at that show - even more so now that Colin and Che are head writers, as well as managing and appearing in their own segment. I find the whole cast of SNL fascinating and hilarious, and I think a lot of people romanticise what it might be like to work in such a demanding job with such a close-knit community of people. I think who they are at this point in time is tied very closely with their jobs, especially because they work together. If you’re writing a story or some scenes that take place at SNL, I don’t mind if you include other SNL cast members in passing interactions, for the sake of verisimilitude.
Writer, I would love it if you could just pretend that Colin Jost is not married to Scarlett Johansson. Or if there’s another way you want to deal with that, then go for it. Please just heed my DNWs: no infidelity, and no unhappy endings.

I don't mind who is the Alpha/Omega here. Request 3: The Umbrella Academy
Number Five/Diego Hargreeves
As you will know, Five has the body of a thirteen-year-old teenager. For the Five & Diego pairing, I am fine with this as it is, as you explore their sibling bond. But for Five/Diego in a romantic and/or sexual relationship, I would prefer it if you could age Five’s body up to 18+. I personally like to head canon that in an AU after season 1 or season 2, they have a moment to breathe and get some downtime, and Five figures out how to age his body up. Maybe he aims for a 20-year-old body because he deserves to live his youth again after spending it all in a future war. Or maybe he aims to age himself up to his siblings and it works; or it doesn’t work and he only gets to 18/21/other age of choice; there are so many options. I just don’t think Diego would be very interested in Five when he’s in his 13-year-old body.
I’m really interested in how both Diego and Five are pretty rough around the edges and grate against each other in a very unique way. Their relationship is different to those of the rest of the siblings and there’s a really interesting push-pull tension between them. I would love to read about them navigating the growing and changing dynamics of their relationship - pre-relationship, or the change from sibling to romantic/sexual relationship, or established relationship changes… all appeal to me.
Honestly I feel like Five aged-up to early 20s would look and dress with such a dark academia vibe. Please Google it. I find it a bit pretentious but it works SO well for Five. And I reckon Diego would really love this look on Five… he’d be turned on and intimidated all at once and he’d love it.

Perhaps, despite the best intentions of the Hargreeves siblings, they fall out of touch for a few years. In that time, Five and Diego have gotten together and actually married - do they try to hide it from the siblings? (It would be a fruitless but hilarious endeavour.) Are they upfront about it? Are the siblings shocked by how obvious it is that Five and Diego love each other? (Potential Outsider POV?)
Fake Marriage - Married As Cover But Unexpectedly Have To Consummate It In Ritual / Fake Marriage - Undercover As Married Leads To Unexpected Feelings / Fake Marriage - Undercover As Married While Mutually Pining
With the storylines that go on in the show, I can totally see them having to be undercover married for whatever reasons. Any of these scenarios would be fantastic to read!

Sidney Crosby/Nathan MacKinnon
I fell in love with the Sid/Zhenya back in 2017, and then a few months ago I fell down this hole again. I really love them both. Sid's an interesting character, for all the interviews he's done since he was only a teenager, he has kept a lot of his personality and personal life hidden from the public. And good on him, he deserves that privacy. So I find that everyone's characterisations of him are a little different. Personally, I don't think he whinges as much as some people write him; he was definitely an awkward bean when he was younger, and he certainly grew into himself; and I have no doubt that he is very serious about his training and hockey, for which I admire him greatly.
I love Zhenya because of his sense of humour! He's quick-witted and hilarious. If you're writing a fic set in the early days, 2006-7 especially, I'd appreciate it if you could keep in mind that he didn't speak a lot of English then at all, and that it took him quite a while to learn - understandably so. I imagine that it took a couple of years for him and Sid to become closer friends, beyond just good colleagues on the ice.
Sid and Zhenya together is just so wonderful to think about - they've really committed to being a team and supporting each other. They've grown up together, in a way, and they've built a generation between them.
Sid and Nate is a new ship of mine - watch any compilation videos of their moments on Youtube and be prepared to just giggle the entire time - they have a fantastic friendship and I love Nate's personality especially. They're very much a rarepair, but I live in hope that someone else will like them as much as I do!

I don't mind who is the Alpha or Omega. Personally, I often headcanon Sid as an omega, in a sport mostly dominated by alphas. He's always been marketed as an anomaly, often a crazy/unbelievable anomaly, and this would be another thing that set him apart. I can imagine him resenting his omega status for a while - or if you'd prefer to write him as quietly strong in his own self-confidence, I'd love that too. And although I've talked about Sid as an omega here, I'm equally open to Zhenya or Nate being omegas as well.

While these freeforms have the potential for fun, they also have the potential for heartbreak, because of Russia's strong homophobic views. I'm still open to reading these freeforms for Sid/Zhenya - them as the NHL's power couple, holy shit, that would be awesome.
I also love these ideas for Sid/Nate. I LOVE the idea of both of them wanting to piss off the press, the NHL, everyone by getting married. Perhaps there's an incident at a game that's broadcast on national TV - a protest against LGBT rights or something - or another player gets fined for using slurs perhaps - and Sid and Nate decide fuck it, let's accelerate the wedding plans and get married now.

Also, the Platonic Soulmates one - I love to think of Sid and Flower being platonic soulmates, or Zhenya and Sergei being platonic soulmates, or something like that.
Request 5: The Hobbit
Bard the Bowman/Thranduil
I absolutely love these two together. Bard is so honest, hard-working, loyal - a good man, and a good father. Thranduil is such a complex character and I'm astounded at the depths of his love for his family. I can totally see these two getting together after the events of the films. Two fathers, both widowers, both trying to do their best, in their own ways, for their own people... I love! I think they both have a deep respect for each other and I love to think about how that may develop into a relationship. I imagine that Thranduil especially may be hesitant at the idea of any relationship - but it's impossible to deny that he's attracted to Bard, the last person Thranduil would ever expect to be attracted to.
Arranged Marriage - Allowed to Choose Spouse from a Group of Pre-selected Suitors / Courtship - Marriage Ball Held to Find a Spouse
After the end of the films, either Thranduil or Bard is facing pressures to remarry "for the stability of the kingdom". These freeforms are such great premises for getting-together fics!
Arranged Marriage - Avoiding It by Marrying Someone Else / Arranged Marriage - Contract Bought Out By Someone Else

All of these freeforms are similar in the whole "marrying for political reasons but then it turns into something more" trope. It's one of the most believable ways for Bard and Thranduil to get together - at first it's just a formal arrangement, but then they have to spend time together, and then Feelings start to develop... I love this premise so much and could read it 100 different times! I especially think that Bard and Thranduil would actually balance each other out fantastically well - they would make a GREAT duo.
Courtship - Formal Courtship with the Intention of Marriage
Thranduil deciding to court Bard officially... Bard not knowing what's going on, or he knows and gets very blushy and flustered because of it... A gorgeous, ethereal, insanely powerful Elven King is courting me! What am I to do!

Request 6: Star Wars Sequel Trilogy
Poe Dameron/Luke Skywalker
This is definitely a bit of a rarepair. I really love them together. While I looove Poe with Finn as well and Poe being best friends with Finn and Rey, at the same time Poe is a bit older than them and he's had a lot of life experience. Particularly, he's had a lot of battle and war experience - he's a super skilled tactician and I really admire how Poe always gets the job done. Luke is a fair bit more grizzled in the sequel films but I still love him for his honesty, patience, care etc. and I think he would be quite resistant to any ~feelings~ he might develop for Poe but... at the end of the day who could resist Poe?
(If you are like me and you weren't a huge fan of The Last Jedi or Rise of Skywalker, then feel free to just ignore those films, or change whatever you want to change, or go canon divergent during/after Force Awakens... I'm not the biggest fan of how Poe and Luke were characterised in those films because I think their characters were missing a fair bit of nuance and complexity. These characters are complex and have REALLY STRONG core values! That's what I love about them.)

This ship came at me out of nowhere and I’m so grateful for it. Everything about them together is so… soft? Like you wouldn’t think so at first because Luke is The Biggest Jedi and Din is The Most Badass Mandalorian but… they are so soft together. They have a lot to relate to one another in terms of found families. I think they can bond over the similarities in their pasts. I think they are both at heart quite empathetic people and it means that they come to understand each other very deeply. I love that!!!
Also for these two, I have a respect kink lol. Yes, when they first met Luke got to see Din’s face. But after that? Luke is so respectful of Din’s desire to keep his face hidden. He always turns away and gives Din privacy. Perhaps, when they decide to get married, there could be a Helmet RevealTM?

Every time I think I’m done with these two, I watch a Weekend Update segment and I’m falling down the hole of obsession once again. Colin and Che have been friends for a LONG TIME now. They have been through a lot together and spent a LOT of time together. They went through a rocky start to their Weekend Update segment and developed it into one of the best things about SNL. I have no doubt that their friendship has changed and strengthened over time and their bond is now incredibly strong.
Please don’t feel limited to a current-day fic. If you’d like to write from the past - earlier SNL seasons, or way way back, when Colin first met Che on the comedy circuit - please do, I’d love to read it.
One thing that really interests me is - I feel like the first impression we get of the two of them is that Colin is the more collected/composed one and Che is a bit of a mess. But as far as I can gather from WU and interviews, it’s actually more the opposite. Che is the one who is a mostly organised and functioning adult and Colin is just… here, and he’s trying his best. (REFERENCE: Colin is the one who doesn’t wash his clothes a lot; Colin is the one who, while going to get a new phone [WITH CHE], left his current phone in a taxi, then got it back but left Che’s phone in the taxi instead. DORK.) I would love an exploration of this!
I love reading about Colin and Che and their lives working at SNL. The work week is incredibly hectic at that show - even more so now that Colin and Che are head writers, as well as managing and appearing in their own segment. I find the whole cast of SNL fascinating and hilarious, and I think a lot of people romanticise what it might be like to work in such a demanding job with such a close-knit community of people. I think who they are at this point in time is tied very closely with their jobs, especially because they work together. If you’re writing a story or some scenes that take place at SNL, I don’t mind if you include other SNL cast members in passing interactions, for the sake of verisimilitude.
Writer, I would love it if you could just pretend that Colin Jost is not married to Scarlett Johansson. Or if there’s another way you want to deal with that, then go for it. Please just heed my DNWs: no infidelity, and no unhappy endings.

Number Five/Diego Hargreeves
As you will know, Five has the body of a thirteen-year-old teenager. For the Five & Diego pairing, I am fine with this as it is, as you explore their sibling bond. But for Five/Diego in a romantic and/or sexual relationship, I would prefer it if you could age Five’s body up to 18+. I personally like to head canon that in an AU after season 1 or season 2, they have a moment to breathe and get some downtime, and Five figures out how to age his body up. Maybe he aims for a 20-year-old body because he deserves to live his youth again after spending it all in a future war. Or maybe he aims to age himself up to his siblings and it works; or it doesn’t work and he only gets to 18/21/other age of choice; there are so many options. I just don’t think Diego would be very interested in Five when he’s in his 13-year-old body.
I’m really interested in how both Diego and Five are pretty rough around the edges and grate against each other in a very unique way. Their relationship is different to those of the rest of the siblings and there’s a really interesting push-pull tension between them. I would love to read about them navigating the growing and changing dynamics of their relationship - pre-relationship, or the change from sibling to romantic/sexual relationship, or established relationship changes… all appeal to me.
Honestly I feel like Five aged-up to early 20s would look and dress with such a dark academia vibe. Please Google it. I find it a bit pretentious but it works SO well for Five. And I reckon Diego would really love this look on Five… he’d be turned on and intimidated all at once and he’d love it.

Are the siblings shocked by how obvious it is that Five and Diego love each other? (Potential Outsider POV?)

Sidney Crosby/Nathan MacKinnon
I fell in love with the Sid/Zhenya back in 2017, and then a few months ago I fell down this hole again. I really love them both. Sid's an interesting character, for all the interviews he's done since he was only a teenager, he has kept a lot of his personality and personal life hidden from the public. And good on him, he deserves that privacy. So I find that everyone's characterisations of him are a little different. Personally, I don't think he whinges as much as some people write him; he was definitely an awkward bean when he was younger, and he certainly grew into himself; and I have no doubt that he is very serious about his training and hockey, for which I admire him greatly.
I love Zhenya because of his sense of humour! He's quick-witted and hilarious. If you're writing a fic set in the early days, 2006-7 especially, I'd appreciate it if you could keep in mind that he didn't speak a lot of English then at all, and that it took him quite a while to learn - understandably so. I imagine that it took a couple of years for him and Sid to become closer friends, beyond just good colleagues on the ice.
Sid and Zhenya together is just so wonderful to think about - they've really committed to being a team and supporting each other. They've grown up together, in a way, and they've built a generation between them.
Sid and Nate is a new ship of mine - watch any compilation videos of their moments on Youtube and be prepared to just giggle the entire time - they have a fantastic friendship and I love Nate's personality especially. They're very much a rarepair, but I live in hope that someone else will like them as much as I do!

I also love these ideas for Sid/Nate. I LOVE the idea of both of them wanting to piss off the press, the NHL, everyone by getting married. Perhaps there's an incident at a game that's broadcast on national TV - a protest against LGBT rights or something - or another player gets fined for using slurs perhaps - and Sid and Nate decide fuck it, let's accelerate the wedding plans and get married now.

I absolutely love these two together. Bard is so honest, hard-working, loyal - a good man, and a good father. Thranduil is such a complex character and I'm astounded at the depths of his love for his family. I can totally see these two getting together after the events of the films. Two fathers, both widowers, both trying to do their best, in their own ways, for their own people... I love! I think they both have a deep respect for each other and I love to think about how that may develop into a relationship. I imagine that Thranduil especially may be hesitant at the idea of any relationship - but it's impossible to deny that he's attracted to Bard, the last person Thranduil would ever expect to be attracted to.

This is definitely a bit of a rarepair. I really love them together. While I looove Poe with Finn as well and Poe being best friends with Finn and Rey, at the same time Poe is a bit older than them and he's had a lot of life experience. Particularly, he's had a lot of battle and war experience - he's a super skilled tactician and I really admire how Poe always gets the job done. Luke is a fair bit more grizzled in the sequel films but I still love him for his honesty, patience, care etc. and I think he would be quite resistant to any ~feelings~ he might develop for Poe but... at the end of the day who could resist Poe?
(If you are like me and you weren't a huge fan of The Last Jedi or Rise of Skywalker, then feel free to just ignore those films, or change whatever you want to change, or go canon divergent during/after Force Awakens... I'm not the biggest fan of how Poe and Luke were characterised in those films because I think their characters were missing a fair bit of nuance and complexity. These characters are complex and have REALLY STRONG core values! That's what I love about them.)
