Hi there, I am violia at the AO3 and violia_ on Twitter! Thank you for writing for me! I am so excited to read your story, and I hope you have a great exchange experience!
This letter is intended to outline my general likes and dislikes, as well as provide potential prompts or inspiration for you. I've written why I like characters/ships/canons, as well as some potential prompts and ideas. This letter contains suggestions which you can choose to use or not use as you wish. If you'd prefer, you could just read my DNWs and write from there. Or, if you already have an idea you've been wanting to write for the pairing, and it doesn't go against my DNWs, then go for it!
If there’s only one thing you want to know about me, please let it be this: I will love any fic if it is driven by strong and carefully considered characterisations and relationships.
Feel free to mix/combine any of my likes or prompts below. I'm also fine if you want to include any other canonical characters and relationships in your story - just as long as the pairing we matched on is the main focus of the fic.
Finally, you may notice that I can write more prompts for some pairings and fandoms than others; please don't read into this as me preferring one over the other. I can just write more about some fandoms than others!

General likes

Things I like but with caveats:
A/B/O: I enjoy reading A/B/O as long as it’s not a dark, sad or upsetting story. Basically, I just don’t enjoy reading a story that focuses on the suffering or persecution of a person/people because of an aspect of themselves (their secondary gender) which they cannot control. Other than that, I generally enjoy A/B/O, especially for the sexy stuff - self-lubrication, knots, rough sex, marathon sex, breeding kink, wet & messy, the inevitable dubcon aspects that come from altered mental states (heat/rut), etc. - these are all kinks I enjoy reading. I am also a fan of A/B/O fics which subvert traditional ideas of gender and sexuality.
Kidfic: I really enjoy kidfic when the child character(s) behave in ways that are mostly age- or developmentally-appropriate. (Kids are characters, not plot devices.)
Misunderstandings: I love reading fics with misunderstandings (for example, but not limited to: fake dating fics, arranged marriage fics, marriage of convenience fics, etc.) I really enjoy these fics when the misunderstandings are realistic and believable; it’s difficult to read fics which make the characters act overly dumb/ignorant/oblivious/unintuitive.

Smut likes
Here is a whole bunch of kinky shit I enjoy reading, as long as all the characters are enjoying it (even if they may be pretending not to, as a part of roleplay/power dynamics play). I'm totally fine with dubcon: from no explicit consent, to like, "character A started out not liking it but they are enjoying it by the end", and everything in between. Just no noncon please.

A note on pain in sex: I have impact play in my DNWs. But, as I wrote above, I like reading rough sex. Love bites are fine; pushing and shoving in the heat of lust is fine; a slap on the ass is more than fine. I have impact play in my DNWs because I do not really like reading any more pain than this. I like it when the pain is brief and enhances the ongoing smut; I don't enjoy when the pain is the main part of the sex scene.

Request 1: BlacKkKlansman: Ron Stallworth/Flip Zimmerman

• This film really got me good. Everything about it struck me - the message, the characters, the plot, the cinematography, the music. I quickly fell in love with Ron and Flip and the idea of those two becoming friends (or something more).
• I love Ron Stallworth for his courage and wit. I love how he approaches life and people. He’s so open, low-key and easy to get along with. He’s not quick to judge anyone. Perhaps this stems partly from the time he spent at college. But I truly feel that if someone were to come out to Ron Stallworth, he would never discriminate against them. Maybe he’d need some time to fully understand. Maybe he’s needed some time to fully come to terms with his own sexuality. But he’s not one to judge. And he’s so smart and such a quick-thinker. And probably a little kinky, which I love. Okay I’ll stop rambling about Ron now.
• Time to ramble about Flip instead. Flip Zimmerman: the Gruff, Quiet Romantic. I love how Flip can seem so immovable, always unfazed. He and Ron are similar, in this way. But Ron is way more in touch with his emotions, whereas Flip is not so much. Or maybe he is in touch with his emotions, but he just doesn’t often express them. I love that Flip needs to really trust someone before he lets them get close. He’s not quick to judge others, either, but I think he can certainly hold some judgements about himself, and out of the both of them, I’d say Flip would have more trouble coming to terms with his sexuality, or admitting his feelings for Ron. But oh boy - I think Flip would be fantastic in bed.
• One thing I’m very aware of is that being gay or exploring your sexuality was not totally fun or freeing in 1970s America. It came with a lot of serious dangers. Being outed could cost you your job, your safety, your family, and more. That is still the case now in many, many places across the world. Writer, I would appreciate it very much if you could take this historical context into account. It directly informs whatever friendship/relationship Ron and Flip have. I would find it very difficult to feel immersed in a story about two men, one Jewish and one African-American, who are coming to terms with their feelings for one another, or entering into a romantic and/or sexual relationship with one another, or forging a close friendship with one another, if the story did not take into account the serious issues of racism and homophobia which pervade the era and setting of this film. (So what I mean is, please don’t have them freely flaunting PDA, or something else that’s unrealistic for this time period.)
• My preference for these two characters is clearly skewed towards slash. I would love to read about them forging a relationship, romantic or sexual or both. Maybe they go from friends to lovers, or they do the only fun thing there is to do in Colorado Springs and hike into the wilderness for a private moment. Or maybe they’re in an established relationship, and navigating their lives as a closeted gay couple who both work for the police department. Or maybe you think of something else entirely; I can’t wait. Alternatively, maybe you’d prefer to write gen or pre-slash instead, and in that case, please feel free. I would love reading about the growth of Ron and Flip’s friendship, or more of their time working together as police officers.

Request 2: Mamamoo - Solar/Moonbyul

• I’m really really a big fan of MAMAMOO and I love Solar and Moonbyul/Yongsun and Byulyi together. I have spent a LOT of time watching ship compilations of their MomentsTM on Youtube… these videos are very interesting!! Love these girls and love the obviously strong bond between them.
  Honestly I don’t really have many prompts for them at this point because I’m new to the fandom. I’m really open to reading anything you’d like to write.
• A day off for both of them. No schedules, a full day to themselves. Or even a full TWO days. How do they spend it? Cute softness? Just eating food together and then passing out, on repeat? Do they have time to let of a bit of steam together… in the bedroom?
• They had a very volatile beginning to their relationship. They mention in a few interviews how they would often be quick to fight with each other, often physically. They prefer to air their grievances immediately and let that anger free rather than keep it pent up. I would love to read about how they managed this earlier in their relationship and how they grew to understand each other more and more and the need for these fights grew less and less.

Request 3: Twoset Violin - Brett/Eddy

• Okay I’m a big fan of these two and I really love and respect their friendship. They’ve been friends for SO LONG and I love thinking about how strong their bond is.
• I am Australian and so especially love these two. They have a lot of Australian in-jokes, references, slang and speech patterns which makes them so entertaining to watch for me and I would love any fic that is just in essence Australian.
• There’s no need for a university AU because they already lived it! So I’m of course open to a fic that takes place during their time at music university!
• There was a good year or more where Brett lived in Sydney and Eddy in Brisbane. They would fly back and forth to make videos but I am sure they missed each other. I would love to read some nice angst or pining between them during this time.
• Getting-together fics are ALWAYS welcome. Do they get together in university, or after they’ve graduated? Or is it a recent development?

Request 4: The Umbrella Academy - Five/Diego and Five & Diego

• As you will know, Five has the body of a thirteen-year-old teenager. For the Five & Diego pairing, I am fine with this as it is, as you explore their sibling bond. But for Five/Diego in a romantic and/or sexual relationship, I would prefer it if you could age Five’s body up to 18+. I personally like to head canon that in an AU after season 1 or season 2, they have a moment to breathe and get some downtime, and Five figures out how to age his body up. Maybe he aims for a 20-year-old body because he deserves to live his youth again after spending it all in a future war. Or maybe he aims to age himself up to his siblings and it works; or it doesn’t work and he only gets to 18/21/other age of choice; there are so many options. I just don’t think Diego would be very interested in Five when he’s in his 13-year-old body.
• I have a lot of smutty, smutty thoughts for this pairing. Many of these thoughts are related to power dynamics. I love thinking about Diego going all submissive as Five fucks him. Or Five being brusque and DEMANDING that Diego fuck him but also getting so overwhelmed by Diego’s perfect dick that he gets dick drunk.
• As per my DNWs, I’m not a fan of hardcore BDSM but I am a BIG fan of experimenting with power dynamics in sex.
  I’m really interested in how both Diego and Five are pretty rough around the edges and grate against each other in a very unique way. Their relationship is different to those of the rest of the siblings and there’s a really interesting push-pull tension between them. I would love to read about them navigating the growing and changing dynamics of their relationship - pre-relationship, or the change from sibling to romantic/sexual relationship, or established relationship changes… all appeal to me.
• If you would like to write the Five & Diego pairing, I’m really interested in their relationship dynamic, as I wrote just above. Their sibling relationship is interesting to me and I would love to read any exploration of that.
• Honestly I feel like Five aged-up to early 20s would look and dress with such a dark academia vibe. Please Google it. I find it a bit pretentious but it works SO well for Five. And I reckon Diego would really love this look on Five… he’d be turned on and intimidated all at once and he’d love it.

Request 5: Saturday Night Live RPF - Michael Che/Colin Jost

• Every time I think I’m done with these two, I watch a Weekend Update segment and I’m falling down the hole of obsession once again.
• Colin and Che have been friends for a LONG TIME now. They have been through a lot together and spent a LOT of time together. They went through a rocky start to their Weekend Update segment and developed it into one of the best things about SNL. I have no doubt that their friendship has changed and strengthened over time and their bond is now incredibly strong. I adore their friendship and would love to read anything about it and/or how it develops into a relationship. (So yeah, anything is fine with me - pre-relationship, or getting into a relationship, or established relationship.)
• Please don’t feel limited to a current-day fic. If you’d like to write from the past - earlier SNL seasons, or way way back, when Colin first met Che on the comedy circuit - please do, I’d love to read it.
• One thing that really interests me is - I feel like the first impression you get of the two of them is that Colin is the more collected/composed one and Che is a bit of a mess. But as far as I can gather from WU and interviews, it’s actually more the opposite. Che is the one who is a mostly organised and functioning adult and Colin is just… here, and he’s trying his best. (REFERENCE: Colin is the one who doesn’t wash his clothes a lot; Colin is the one who, while going to get a new phone [WITH CHE], left his current phone in a taxi, then got it back but left Che’s phone in the taxi instead. DORK.) I would love an exploration of this!
• I love reading about Colin and Che and their lives working at SNL. The work week is incredibly hectic at that show - even more so now that Colin and Che are head writers, as well as managing and appearing in their own segment. I find the whole cast of SNL fascinating and hilarious, and I think a lot of people romanticise what it might be like to work in such a demanding job with such a close-knit community of people. I think who they are at this point in time is tied very closely with their jobs, especially because they work together. If you’re writing a story or some scenes that take place at SNL, I don’t mind if you include other SNL cast members in passing interactions, for the sake of verisimilitude.
• Writer, I would love it if you could just pretend that Colin Jost is not married to Scarlett Johansson. Or if there’s another way you want to deal with that, then go for it. Please just heed my DNWs: no infidelity, and no unhappy endings.
• Fandom-specific DNWs: No Colin/Scarlett Johansson please; as per my other DNWs, no infidelity and no unhappy endings.

Request 6: Star Wars Sequel Trilogy - Finn/Poe Dameron and Luke Skywalker/Poe Dameron

Finn/Poe Dameron

• With these two I am really just a fan of how instant their connection is. like. Their connection is undeniable. It’s so natural and organic and I THRIVE off of that.
• I am really really open to reading anything for these two. Take as much or as little from the films as you’d like. Go full AU from their first meeting if you want to. I really have not much attachment to the films and I love AUs.
• In particular I would love to read an exploration of their characters, which I think the films lacked a lot.
• I just love reading cute and sweet FinnPoe moments!

Luke Skywalker/Poe Dameron

• Could this possibly be my guilty pleasure ship? Who knows. But I actually really like these two together. I especially love them together because I think they are a lot alike in that they are quite realistic and down-to-earth.
• I would love to read about how grizzled, grumpy, older Luke falls for the younger Poe. Poe is no maiden. He is battle-worn and a skilled tactician. I’m so interested in the dynamic between him and Luke, and how they discover so many similarities and a real connection between each other.
• Does Poe pursue Luke? Or are they both a bit startled by the budding romance between them and they’re both not sure what to do because it was totally unexpected??
• How does their relationship develop? I’m open to anything!

Request 7: The Mandalorian - Cara Dune & Din Djarin & Grogu; Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker; Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker & Grogu

Cara Dune & Din Djarin & Grogu

• I loooooove Cara so much and I love her friendship with Din. Even though Cara doesn’t think she can care for Grogu, she quickly comes to love him a lot. I would love to read anything concerning the found family theme for these three.
• I’d love to read about Cara and Din being a wingman/wingwoman for each other! Or just any scenario where they can really demonstrate their strong friendship. Or maybe Grogu is the ultimate wingman…

Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker

• This ship came at me out of nowhere and I’m so grateful for it. Everything about them together is so… soft? Like you wouldn’t think so at first because Luke is The Biggest Jedi and Din is The Most Badass Mandalorian but… they are so soft together. They have a lot to relate to one another in terms of found families. I think they can bond over the similarities in their pasts. I think they are both at heart quite empathetic people and it means that they come to understand each other very deeply. I love that!!!
• I have a respect kink. Yes, when they first met Luke got to see Din’s face. But after that? Luke is so respectful of Din’s desire to keep his face hidden. He always turns away and gives Din privacy. Luke completely understands and respects that he may never see Din’s face again. THIS IS SO GOOD!!! And I bet Din is very touched by it. How do they manage their first kiss? How does Din finally reveal his face to Luke? Does he wrestle with this decision? Does it happen when he asks Luke to be a part of his clan, or - when they get married? (SPACE MARRIAGE?!)
• And furthermore - how does their relationship progress? What happens after Grogu goes with Luke? There are so many options to explore. Are they reunited quickly, at Grogu or Luke’s request? Does Din try to hold out the urge to go find them, but eventually can’t stop himself? Does Din arrive at the Jedi training camp expecting to be allowed only a quick visit, but then Luke invites him to stay as long as he wants? I’m really interested in any exploration of how their relationship develops!!
• Sparring sessions between Din and Luke? Does Luke help Din to learn to wield the darksaber? How does Din feel about the darksaber?

Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker & Grogu

• Same as above, but with extra focus on Grogu. Luke and Din co-parenting Grogu is literally what dreams are made of. I love thinking about Luke and Din being the most healthy and loving co-parents.
• Reunion between Din and Grogu. PLEASE. With a side of Din/Luke ofc.
• Does Grogu play matchmaker for these two, either on purpose or completely inadvertently???
• Grogu POV fic? Future fic? Pre-relationship fic? Established relationship? So many ideas!

Request 8: Merlin - Gwaine/Merlin

• - I used to be a Merthur shipper for the longest time but recently I’ve really been getting into Gwaine/Merlin!! What I really, really love about these two is that they have instant chemistry the moment they meet on the show. I love that Gwaine is so chaotic yet has deeply instilled morals of loyalty and fairness. I love that Merlin is awkward and sweet and brave and clever and doesn’t take shit from anyone (although I do think he lets Arthur take him for granted far too much). For all that Gwaine jokes and sleeps around, he is incredibly loyal and devoted to Merlin, especially when they get together. Gwaine gets Merlin in a way few others do - I think even Gwaine understands Merlin better than Arthur does, especially when Arthur is oblivious to Merlin’s magic.
• I am a HUGE fan of genderswap for this pairing. Fem!Merwaine is one of my favourite things and it’s an incredibly niche trope for them so I’m itching to read anything more!!!
• As always I love pre-relationship or getting together or established relationship fics.
• Magic reveal is always a favourite trope for me and I’d love to read about how Gwaine reacts to Merlin’s magic - specifically I like to think Gwaine would be so accepting and open and understanding and he always has Merlin’s best interests at heart.
• It’s Merlin, so quest/adventure fics are ALWAYS welcome!!
• I am SO open to receiving smut fic if you’re in the mood to write. I am particularly a fan of castle sex for these two. There are just so many nooks and crannies in Camelot Castle that are perfect for a quickie!! This smut trope also plays into the semi-public and public sex kinks which I am a fan of.
• Fandom-specific DNWs: Please don’t have Merlin be in unrequited love with Arthur. I’m fine if you want to have Merlin feeling torn between his duty/destiny to Arthur and his love for Gwaine, but I would prefer to not have Merlin pining after Arthur for the entire story.
